Netflix Releases

We have been spoiled for choice when it comes to streaming services in Lockdown. But have you got all the platforms and still no idea what to watch? Look no further.

Everyone has been there, scrolling for hours through Netflix, trying to find the best binge-worthy series or the movie that everyone’s been talking about. Netflix begins to feel a lot less chill and  we make no progress in our movie night choices.

Until now.

This week, Netflix have revealed they are releasing an enormous amount of new content this month. But do not fear, we have some great tips on where to start.

For the family nights - A Steven Speilberg classic and an award-winning story of The BFG is amongst the lineup for March releases. The story features a young girl, Sophie, that befriends a giant, who is an outcast because, unlike his kind, he refuses to hurt humans. The film really highlights the importance of not judging a book by its cover and giving people chances we may not typically give. The family favourite will be available around the middle of the month.

If you are looking for something with more of the scare factor, horror fans will be thrilled to know that on Wednesday 10th March, Netflix is adding The Nun to their library of frightening horrors. Based on real-life events, a priest with a haunted past and a novice are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a force in the form of a demonic nun - a real hide behind the pillow kind of film!

Later in the month, a Netflix original film, A Week Away, is perfect for those romantic movie date nights. In this uplifting feel-good musical, a troubled teen takes a leap of faith by attending summer camp, and unexpectedly finds love, friends and a place to belong - maybe a 2022 summer plan?

But for the new to come in, the old must go. So don't miss out on some film favourites, such as 'Spring Breakers' and 'The Outsider', as they will no longer be available on Netflix after March 13th.

Looks like a movie night tonight, doesn't it?

So why not relive your childhood dreams of building the ultimate movie den with fairy lights, snacks, pillows and a projector screen ready for the Netflix marathon!
